B All U Can DREAM Podcast

Chinwendum joined host Marlene Mitchell and fellow guest Glight Ofunne for a conversation about the real impact of cyberbullying and social media on mental health, self-esteem, identity, and emotional wellbeing.

The discussion explored what can happen when online spaces become sources of comparison, judgment, exclusion, or harassment — particularly for young people who are still developing their sense of self. It also looked at the quieter ways our digital environments can influence how we feel, including how the content, music, messages, and media we repeatedly consume can sometimes reinforce emotions we are already experiencing.

Rather than reducing digital wellness to simply “spending less time online,” the conversation focused on becoming more aware of what we consume, how it affects us, and what our minds may be taking in without us realizing it.

why the conversation matters.

The online world is part of everyday life. For young people especially, experiences that happen through a screen can still have very real effects on confidence, belonging, relationships, and mental wellbeing.

Understanding those effects creates more space for healthier conversations about how we use social media — and how we support people when online experiences begin affecting how they see themselves.
